It really is starting to become one of my goals while living here in Melbourne - seeking out the best coffee in town. A few weekends ago, we had the opportunity to meet up with a few of Janice's childhood friends who was visiting from Singapore. This time though, we chose a new coffee joint near the Queen Victoria Market. The market is a place that me and Janice are accustomed to going on the weekend to join in with the crowd to shop for fresh produce and meat. What I didn't know was that it was also home to a coffee place that is respectable by Melbourne standards. Padres is kind of hidden away at the corner of the market but the coffee was certainly not bad. We definitely enjoyed it and would come back again when we're in the area next. Is it BBB, Patricia's, or Little Wishes quality? Maybe not, but I didn't find a reason to complain about it. A few small tables with chairs to sit outside while downing a cup by the market sets the scene for this little cafe. We'll be back.

  1. Being on the quest to find the best coffee is fun! Also, all the coffee you get to drink, right? :)
I'm so happy I finally found a nice cafe near by so I don't have to go into the city every time…Starbucks does get very old.

    1. Great to hear! Starbucks is fine for a cheap (not monetary wise) fix but not more than that. Does Seoul have good coffee too?

  5. Those are great to see in the morning and that's what I m doing at the moment;-) I am a coffee person and I have tried many but still, the only coffee that rings me the strong memories is the one that my grandmader used to roast and grind by her own, that smell and that ritual is something special I remember of. Well captured!

  10. You guys are definitely coffee connoisseurs! I haven't got the skill of differentiating between good and bad coffee yet, haha.

  11. I love when they make patterns on the coffee! The other day I went to a coffee shop and they gave me a heart on my latte, and it also tasted amazing. The coffee looks great and your photos are amazing.
